Set in the mountains above Park City, Utah, this 4,471 SF, three-story residence needed more than a cosmetic update — its aging exterior envelope was letting the home down on comfort and performance. BARI Architecture led a complete exterior and interior renovation focused on bringing the home up to modern energy standards without losing its mountain character.

The scope centered on a full building envelope upgrade: re-cladding the exterior and adding new insulation throughout to significantly improve thermal performance, reduce energy loss, and keep the home comfortable through Park City's cold winters and high-altitude climate. Alongside the energy efficiency work, we rebuilt the deck and pathway shelter, added a new garage, and reconfigured the upper level to create a new primary suite. Inside, a full interior renovation brought the home's finishes and layout in line with its improved, better-performing shell.

The result is a mountain residence that performs as well as it looks — a model for how thoughtful architecture and energy-conscious upgrades can work together in high-altitude, high-performance homes throughout Park City and the broader Utah mountain region.
