Nestled in the foothills just outside Golden, Colorado, this 1950s mid-century modern home has been thoughtfully reimagined through a complete renovation and the addition of a spacious new wing. The design preserves the home’s original architectural character—clean lines, low-slung rooflines, and open floor plans—while introducing modern elements that enhance comfort, efficiency, and livability.

The renovation embraces the timeless appeal of mid-century modern architecture, incorporating expansive glass walls, natural materials, and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection to capture the stunning mountain views. The new addition expands the living areas while respecting the proportions of the original residence, blending old and new in a way that feels both cohesive and fresh.

By balancing preservation with innovation, this project transforms a dated 1950s house into a vibrant, modern retreat. The result is a home that honors its mid-mod roots while meeting the needs of contemporary living in the beautiful Colorado foothills.
